Let’s Celebrate Teachers!
We all had that one teacher(or maybe more than one) that we really connected with or that made a huge difference in our lives. It’s a calling that is instrumental to every man, woman, and child’s development. They teach us how to think, interact with one another and find our own calling in the world. At every level, from pre-school to university and beyond, we are influenced and guided by them through every step of our development.
As important of a role they play, I think we can all agree, teachers don’t get nearly enough credit. Reach out to that old teacher from second grade or the professor that believed in you and let them know what they meant to you. It’s easy and could mean more than you think.
We’d like to recognize and thank a teacher on our Executive Committee – Dr. Cynthia Roberts from Indiana University Northwest. She has long been a supporter of our mission and she’s also an alumnus of the Influential Women Awards.
