Dr. Erica Kaufman West serves as the Director of the Franciscan Health COVID response team and the local principle investigator for the Eli Lilly BLAZE-1 trial, a study looking
at a potential treatment for COVID-19. She is passionate about educating the community regarding COVID-19 and other infectious disease conditions, such as Hepatitis C and
HIV. Dr. Kaufman West earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and completed her residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
