NWIIWA shows support for “Heels for Meals”
Members of the Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association (NWIIWA) were proud to attend and support Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana’s fourth-annual “Heels for Meals” event, held recently at the Villa Cesare in Schererville.
Proceeds from the event are going to be used to fund Meals on Wheels endowments at Legacy Foundation and Crown Point Community Foundation, which will help deliver meals to more individuals throughout our region.
“Meals on Wheels of NWI improves the quality of life for many of our region’s residents – our friends and neighbors,” said Andrea Pearman, NWIIWA’s executive director. “We absolutely support their mission. Not only because it’s morally right, but also because it makes NWI a better place to live, start a career, or even start a business.”
Guests at the “Heels for Meals” event wear their most outlandish footwear and socks – the funkier the better. Attendees also had a range of games to check out, including champagne pong. Special performances by jazz guitarist Martin Metzger, singer Justin Sumler, and hoop dancing by Ebonie Hoops entertain the .
